Andrene Collings has worked for over twenty years with the Government of Jamaica in various posts related to trade. She is currently the Director of the Policy, Planning, Projects and Research Division in the Ministry of Industry, Investment and Commerce (MIIC) and is responsible for the development of policy, programmes and projects falling under the Ministry’s commerce portfolio including consumer affairs, commodity supplies, standards and technical regulations, fair competition, import and export licensing, antidumping and safeguards.
Mrs. Collings is a Director of the Consumer Affairs Commission, a Director of the Trade Board Ltd and a member of the Management Advisory Board of the Companies Office of Jamaica. She also represents the Ministry on various national and regional committees. Mrs. Collings has extensive experience in international trade and worked as a freelance consultant and with Jamaica Trade and Invest (formerly JAMPRO) before joining the Ministry in 1998.
Mrs Collings attended Georgian College in Canada where she studied Business Administration with a major in Marketing. She is married with two children and enjoys cooking, gardening, scrabble, and badminton in her spare time.
