The Government of Jamaica has in place provision for an incentive to be given to promote the growth of the motion picture industry in Jamaica. Media Houses and entities engaged in the production of advertisements and motion pictures are eligible for consideration in accordance with the Motion Picture Encouragement Act.

All applications for Motion Picture Recognition Status must be made to the Ministry, through the Industry Division.
