Damian Lyn, contractor, Alternative Power Sources, explains operation of equipment at National Irrigation Commission’s Bengal Pump Station in Trelawny to the Hon Audley Shaw (left), Minister of Industry, Commerce, Agriculture and Fisheries, and Hon J. C. Hutchinson, Minister without Portfolio. The 320 panel solar-powered pump station was officially commissioned into operation on January 23, 2020 and will provide 75% of the station’s energy requirements.
